Golf Travel: Costa Blanca

For any golfers out there with free time and money, a golf holiday in Costa Blanca could be your next destination. Arguably the most famous coast in Spain, Costa Blanca draws millions of tourists each year. Lying on the eastern coast, the White Coast is one of those resorts where everyone can find their place under the sun, from sophisticated towns where life goes on 24 hours a day to quaint little villages where peace and tranquility is featured.

Costa Blanca Golf Holidays are becoming increasingly popular, and you will find your choice of green fees and hotels are good value for money. You will have great weather with the added advantage that the courses will not be packed with people.

For those considering their next holiday in Costa Blanca and want a good mix of golf and nightlife, Benidorm is an excellent choice with two lovely courses down the road at the new Villaitana Golf Resort. Alicante is known for its miles of sandy beaches, historical buildings, and its boulevard with palm trees and shopping streets. Continue on to Torrevieja famous for its salt production and Elche which is the palm tree capital of the world. Costa Blanca is filled with famous sandy beaches, fabulous mountain ranges, and historic cities and villages to check out.

Phil Mickelson: From pathetic to phenomenal

With his flawless final round 64 Sunday to win the Pebble Beach Pro-Am, Phil Mickelson showed how fast things can change in the life of a professional golfer.

Just a few weeks ago, Mickelson was playing extremely inconsistent, missed a cut, called his own play pathetic, and admittedly questioned whether or not he was working on the proper things. He complained that he was unable to stayed focused throughout his rounds.

On Sunday, paired with Tiger Woods, Mickelson played one of the best rounds of his life. He made six birdies as well as an eagle, and drained two long putts to save par when he found trouble. He admitted afterword that playing with Woods amps him up and heightens his focus to the highest levels.

Haney Project to feature new format in season four

Hank Haney will be teaching four new celebs on the "Haney Project" instead of focusing on just one. This year he will be working with former boxer Sugar Ray Leonard, Supermodel Angie Everhart, chef Mario Batali, and singer Adam Levine.

The foursome will compete against one another in a showdown in Mexico for $100,000.00 to go to charity.

“This year we get to do something completely different with some amazing names,” Haney said. “These four celebrities are at the top of their respected fields. They know the hard work and dedication needed to be the best, whether it’s acting, music, sports or cooking. They all have the drive and determination to win. This will be the biggest project yet.”
