Norman: "Cut out an American's heart"
International team captain Norman is getting fired up for the President's Cup. He wants his players to set friendship aside for the week and be prepared "to cut out an American rival's heart and present it to him on the 18th hole." Sounds like Braveheart to me.
"I believe that in an individual sport, when you walked on to the first tee or into the arena, everybody was your enemy," Norman said. "I learned very early on that friendships are great. But it is hard to keep a close friendship if you are both in the top five in the world."
Norman has said he plans to be more assertive as captain this year and won't hesitate to put Adam Scott in a match vs. Tiger Woods despite the recent caddie controversy.
