A green jacket is awarded to the winner, a tradition which began in 1949. The champions dinner, held each Tuesday of tournament week, was started by Ben Hogan and is only open to former champions and certain board members.
On each Wednesday, there is a par-3 tournament at a par-3 course at Augusta with many of the player's kids caddying for them.
Each tournament begins with an honorary tee shot, performed in the past by golf legends Nicklaus, Palmer, Snead, and Sarazen, among others.
The winner of the Masters receives a lifetime exemption into the tournament, plus a five year exemption on the PGA Tour, as well as a five year exemption into the U.S. Open, British Open, PGA Championship, and the Player's Championship.
Jack Nicklaus has won the most green jackets with six while Arnold Palmer and Tiger Wood have four wins each. Phil Mickelson most recently won in 2010 and has three. The defending champion is Adam Scott, who won in a playoff over Angel Cabrera and became the first Australian to win the Masters.

Woods, McILroy, and Scott paired together at U.S. Open
Tiger Woods, Rory McILroy, and Adam Scott will be paired together for the first two rounds of the U.S. Open at Merion. The top three in the world rankings will go off at 1:14pm on Thursday at 7:44am on Friday.
Woods enters the tournament with four wins on the season and will be looking to earn his 15th major title and first since the 2008 U.S. Open at Torrey Pines. McILroy has slumped lately with equipment changes but will look to regain the form he had in winning the 2011 U.S. Open at Congressional. Adam Scott enters looking to win back to back majors after taking the Masters in April.
It is no doubt the marquee pairing of the week and will help the tournament earn big ratings for rounds one and two.

The Van de Velde British Open Collapse
Adam Scott's loss at the British Open was absolutely devastating. However, it can't be compared to the collapse of Jean Van de Velde in 1999 at Carnoustie.

Stevie vs. Tiger: Williams 1, Woods 0
Steve Williams got a much deserved victory Sunday after getting fired by Tiger Woods after 12 seasons. In only his fourth overall tournament with Adam Scott, they got their first win together.
"I’ve been caddieing for 33 years, 145 wins, and that’s the best week of my life,” Williams told CBS afterward.
Off to a good start for Scott and Williams, although over the long run, Woods will most likely get many more wins.
And the drama continues....
