Barkley puzzled by lack of communication from Woods

Charles Barkley talked about the decline of his relationship with Tiger Woods on the ESPN Mike Lupica radio show Wednesday. Barkley discussed how surprised he was by the Steve Williams firing, the perception that he and Michael Jordan had an influence in Wood's affairs, and the fact that he hasn't spoken with Woods in two years.

"I'm sitting back like everyone else and saying, what the hell is going on? I just feel sad, to be honest with you," Barkley said. "You're like, dude, who is around this guy, who has his back, who has his best interest, who doesn't want anything from him? I don't know why we haven't talked to him in a couple of years."

Barkley to play left-handed?

Charles Barkley is listed at 500-1 to win the American Century Celebrity Golf Classic next month. It should be more like 500 million to 1 because he doesn't have a snowball's chance. As his right-handed swing has been analyzed all over the internet as perhaps the worst swing in history, he says he may play the tournament left-handed. He has tried a similar experiment in the past when he combined right-handed, left-handed, and one-handed shots. Barley also invented a new swing technique earlier this year with a back leg convulsion. Can't wait to see what's next.

The Barkley Experiment

Fair enough. Barkley is a typical golfer in the fact that he enjoys getting out on the course to relax. The way he's different is the fact that he may possibly be the worst golfer in golf history.

We have all seen his swing over and over and know that he worked with Hank Haney to try and improve.

Unfortunately, nothing has worked as of yet so he's moved on to the next tactic.

Traditionally a right-hander, he hit his driver and fairway woods left-handed at the American Century Charity Tournament, hit most of his iron shots right-handed and hit a few iron shots using only his right hand.

Yes, you heard correctly. Some shots right handed, some left handed, and some one handed.

Maybe this experiment will work. And maybe I'll shoot 54 tomorrow.

Haney believes it may be possible though. He says he'll be working with Charles to become a permanent left handed player.
